a Shopping, Dining and Entertainment District stretching more than a mile of beautiful California coastline.
Featuring more than 250 stores, 30 restaurants, 1,500 hotel rooms, 25 rides and attractions, world class theater productions, convention center, museums and the return of the two most famous ocean liners in history.
Celebrating America is what it's all about; the American Liner Project is a plan for the restoration and reactivation of the fastest Ocean Liner in the World, the S.S. United States.
The S.S. United States launched in 1951, currently sits in pier 83 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Nearly forgotten she is America's flag ship, her elegance stripped away, her true beauty fading and her red, white and blue paint peeling. Passerbys although aware of her presence know little about her; is this how history should be remembered?
Introducing an amazing venture to restore the Beauty, Might and all that is America back into this illustrious liner, to once and for all restore the S. S. United States back into her original sailing condition, to continue her reign as the Fastest Ship in the World; returning her to where she was designed and meant to be.
An estimated 4 year, $750 million project will take a fading legend and return the ship back to her grand self, going back to the original 1950's style of ocean travels and re-introducing a new generation to what luxury is. Every American State can call the S. S. United States home, with staterooms designed by the States to represent each of their unique and marvelous territory. Grand Ballrooms designed in inspiration of early American architecture, and beautiful lush wood paneling throughout with 1950s deco styling chromed trim.
The S. S. United States will once again sail with amazing speed, offer accommodations unmatched except by the Queen Mary and be returned to not just a standard ship, but a steamship, being among the most environmentally friendly in the World.
We welcome you to join us on a journey through history, in being a part of rewriting the future for this lost treasure, continuing its history into a new century and a new Generation.
This is the American Liner Project, History Returned.
