The Long Beach Monorail System named "SkyLine" is a proposed project for a double directional Monorail System that runs some 60 miles throughout the Long Beach area.
SkyLine will be one of the most environmentally friendly systems in the world, taking advantage of Solar, Wind and Steam Generation to power the system in its entirety, creating no greenhouse gases and being the most environmentally friendly transportation systems in the world.

Each Monorail vehicle can accommodate nearly 100 passengers with a cruising speed of 70 MPH; each train can move nearly 25,000 passengers in a single hour, with the system as a whole moving about 460,000 people each hour.
Budgeted at about $1.5 billion SkyLine will truly revolutionize transportation, bringing the area together and enter into a new phase of high speed transportation in the United States. The system will be completely designed, operated, and maintained by the Island of Long Beach, being built and designed right here in California, creating more than 10,000 jobs.

On May 27, 2011 the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California celebrated the 75th anniversary of her Maiden Sailing, in grand style suitable for a true Queen of the Seas.
The legend of once the largest and fastest ocean liner goes back to the 1930s when Cunard Steamship Company accounted the construction of a three funnel 81,000 ton steam-liner, known only as job number 531.
Legend has it, the Queen Mary was to be named after Queen Victoria, when Cunard went before King George V of England to ask if they may name a vessel after the Greatest Queen whom ever lived; the King interrupted the Cunard representative smirkingly stated I'd be honored if you named your vessel Queen Mary.
Whether this happened of whether its just legend no one knows but one thing for sure is that the ship is filled with a special kind of magic, wonder and has a way of taking everyone back.
From her maiden voyage in 1936 to today the Queen Mary has set the standard for speed, luxury and above all else majesty. Serving in World War II she served as a troop carrier, with one voyage sailing with some 18,000+ troops, the most people on any one vessel. She has sailed more than a million miles, crossing the Atlantic some 1,001 times.
The Queen Mary is by far the most famous vessel to ever sail the seas, even today she is the most recognizable vessel of all time. Since her arrival in Long Beach in 1967 the Queen Mary has undergone substantial change her interiors have changed over time and her illustrious beauty faded, although she still stands as an icon and truly remarkable vessel, the beauty that was once there is now gone from abuse and neglect.
We encourage you to view the photos of the interior damage of the ship and see for yourself the once great ship is truly in distress. Reports from 1992 show the Queens Bottom Hull Rivets have disintegrated some 78% percent. SEE PHOTOS
The Island of Long Beach with the Queens Project are proposing a $1.5 billion restoration project to bring back the all mighty Queen, to restore her massive engines and bring to life the steam powered vessel once more to sail the oceans of the world from right here in Long Beach. For the task ahead is huge, nothing is as large as the legend herself, may the Queen live long and may her new career set sail for a new generation to experience the grandeur that can only be; Queen Mary.
Note: The Island of Long Beach nor any of their associated companies are affiliated with the Save the Queen, LLC nor Garrison Investments. The Island of Long Beach and their associated companies are independent companies operated under the Island of Long Beach, LLC.
The Island of Long Beach is a project like no other; it stands alone as THE major impact to the California economy, in strengthening local communities from the ground up.
Within 10 years from the start of all 9 Island of Long Beach projects, in all, more than $25 billion will be invested, with $16 billion being invested right here in California in the first three years alone.
Our promise in putting both people and community first, is our priority. The Island of Long Beach is slating more than $25 million dollars annually to private and civic organizations. Plus, tens of millions of dollars will go to schools throughout California with educational resources provided throughout the resort in History related projects.
The Island of Long Beach and the City of Long Beach will work together to provide schools in the area millions of dollars to rebuild the infrastructure from the ground up, remodeling all the schools, adding new schools and teachers, expanding history education, investing heavily in technology to ensure every student has a laptop, to reduce their environmental impact and create a model school system that the world will look to in awe. Every student has the right to a great education and Long Beach will lead the way with the best schools in the world.
The City of Long Beach itself would benefit more than $450 million in annual tax revenue; this reflects back to the people of Long Beach to ensure a better way of life for each citizen and to revitalize Long Beach as once again a world class beach destination, that Long Beach was once known for.
The Island of Long Beach will also invest more than $1 billion into a mass transit Monorail System. Running more than 60 miles throughout the cities of Long Beach, Signal Hill, San Pedro and Seal Beach; the Long Beach Monorail System Skyline would be the largest and most advanced system in the United States, bringing the area closer together faster, safer and with more convenience.
Privately funded and maintained by the Island of Long Beach, Skyline will bring a transportation revolution to California; providing a fast, convenient and inexpensive service that no longer relies on public funding, but instead provides a service that is available for all area residents to use cutting commute times by 90%, decreasing pollution, and reducing traffic congestion, for just a couple dollars a day.
The Island of Long Beach will also create a community fund that will go to area businesses to help transform their business to meet the requirements and expectations for visiting tourists. In addition to working with the Long Beach Airport, the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Long Beach Convention Center, we will invest some $100 million to Long Beach businesses to upgrade and transform their business model making Long Beach a more attractive place to visit.
With current economic conditions, jobs are needed badly all over the country, California's current unemployment rate is at 11.7%; Californians are desperately in need of jobs and the Island of Long Beach would put back to work over 230,000 Californians, with more than 50,000 permanent positions at the resort alone, reducing the unemployment rate by more than 10%.
The economic impact of the Island of Long Beach stretches from the United States to Great Britain, but the effects in jobs and money are felt mostly right here in California. In all more than 300,000 people will be employed or contracted by the Island of Long Beach, making it the largest economic project in American History.
Long Beach currently welcomes an estimated 5.5 million visitors annually; the Island of Long Beach estimates that we would more than double the visiting guests to some 12.5 million people. Businesses throughout the area will breathe new life, between our community commitment to them in addition to the new tourism numbers, each business in the area will enjoy great benefits with on average a 40% increase in new business annually.
The Island of Long Beach is not a public company, we do not answer to any shareholder; we answer to you the community. As a private company we do not give profits to any shareholder, our profits are put back into the company and our employees to create an entertainment company that is truly out of this world, in continually growing, upgrading, maintaining and providing a service that guests will come to enjoy and expect.
